Resident to Employee Appreciation & Growth Bursary

The Resident to Employee Appreciation & Growth Bursary was established to recognize the dedication of staff in the long-term care (LTC) sector and to support their ongoing education and professional development, with the goal of strengthening resident care and advancing the overall quality of care, particularly at Dykeland Lodge. Funded through the generosity of an anonymous donor who has pledged $3,000 annually, this bursary is intended to enrich the lives of residents by investing in the knowledge, skills, and well-being of our valued team members.

Each year, up to $3,000 in total bursary funding is available. This may be awarded as three $1,000 bursaries or divided among multiple applicants to support smaller educational opportunities, such as mini-credentials, workshops, or individual courses. All funded opportunities must directly support resident-centered care and contribute to the professional growth of staff working in LTC. Funding decisions will also consider self-identified financial need.

By encouraging continued learning and development, the Resident to Employee Appreciation & Growth Bursary helps empower our team, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for those who call LTC facilities like Dykeland Lodge their home.
